An Important Message!

Image
We talk of development, modernity and metropolitan culture, but I guess this is limited only to the cloths and accessories of some men. A video that  put forward the ancient thought of a modern man, made me realize that there could be some men even today who hold on to conservative ideas of how a woman should be. Well, its time they change. If they are obstinate to remain like they are, they could be left alone. The video shows how a girl replies to the conservative suggestions of a guy who wishes to marry her. If you ask me, the idea of inferiority or equality of a woman depends more the kind of people around her and not the time period she lives in. I could speak more but I'm afraid I might kill the joke. So, enjoy the video but don't miss the message!

I'm So Bored

Image
Boredom! It is ruling my mind's kingdom. I don't know what to do, I have nowhere to go to. People love to get together, I'd rather enjoy the weather. I easily get bored of things, Whether it is movies, games or outings. But there's always good hidden in bad, So I have nothing to feel sad. My boredom has led to creativity, Now I'm involved in some activity

Your Life, Your Way

We watch a lot of thing everyday, but only a few of them manage to leave an impact and stay with us forever! The video adopts a funny method to tell us about the rules of the society and how it treats the people who try to bend them. The society is personified as a sadistic man who takes pleasure in bringing you down. The question here is - would you succumb to these rules or live life on your own terms. If you succumb, no doubt your life will be very easy, but will you still be happy? I doubt that! Resistance can make life hell but there's a greater chance you'll emerge victorious. Its time for you to take chance and bend the rules. I believe, there's no point living a life to make others happy. At the end of the day, you are the one who matters the most and if someone calls you selfish, I guess its okay to be selfish sometimes. We must remember that all the things we enjoy today, are fruits of the efforts of people who rebel against the society. I'm not promoting

Time To Talk About Disability

Image
Once again I regret being late. The world celebrated International Day of Persons with Disability on the 3rd of December and I couldn't put up anything to create awareness about something I always wanted people to be sensitive to. I'm sorry! But I guess its better late than never. So this special day is observed annually to create awareness along with attempting an inclusion of differently abled people into the society. This initiative by the United Nations since 1992 has interesting themes each year. In 2012 they aimed at "Removing barriers to create an inclusive and accessible society for all". Similarly in 2013 they compelled the world to "Break Barriers, Open Doors: for an inclusive society and development for all". This year they decided to bring about "Sustainable development: The promise of technology". In the recent years, I have seen an increasing number of people opening up to the idea of accepting disability. Whether it is diff

My Book, My Friend!

Image
As I had mentioned in my earlier posts, I have never been a book lover. But, recently something changed in my life and I became interested in unfolding the story while I set off on a journey with the characters in the book. I think this was always my interest but was pushed back due to other distractions. So when this love for stories resurfaced, I went back to the novels we read as part of Literature in 12 th  grade. I started my journey with Charles Dickens, on the path of ‘Great Expectations.’’ I accompanied protagonist Philip Pirrip on a path of loneliness and innocence that leads towards pride and finally reaches the destination of happiness! Similar was the journey of David Copperfield who overcame all the hurdles placed by destiny and walked towards happiness. After this I traveled to London and Paris with Mr. Dickens as he described the Tale of Two Cities. Then the king of tragedy, Shakespeare made me laugh while he narrated the process of Taming of the Shrew. While I

Do You Love Yourself?

Image
On an ordinary day, my boredom took me to an interesting video on Youtube. It left a positive impact on me, so I wanted to share my experience with everyone. We all know the importance of respecting ourselves before others can respect us, but do we all know that loving ourselves is equally important? Few months ago, I had watched a video that taught me this lesson. Unfortunately I dont remember the name of the speaker or the show to share it here. What I do remember is the words she said ‘’ be in a relationship with yourself!’’ It is then that I learnt the need to love my self for what I’m. The concept of unconditional love applies here too.  So just like you make vow at the wedding to love, comfort and protect your partner, you take a vow to love yourself for as long as you live. I used to be very upset about not looking great when I walk around or not being able to wear certain cloths because of my disability, but this video changed my perspective about myself. I wont say i
